Liposuction: A Risk-Benefit Analysis

 by Alluremedspa

Have you ever considered the pros and cons of getting liposuction? It's one of the most popular plastic surgeries in the world today, and comes with a litany of risks and benefits like any surgery.

Risk: Undesirable Results

Ok. This risk isn't much of a risk. When I say "undesirable results" I mean that you feel your doctor hasn't gone far enough with the knife to satisfy you. While this is a possibility, it's easy to solve before your operation at your pre-surgical consultation with your plastic surgeon.

Benefit: Desirable results

And here I don't just mean the new contours of your body, though that is part of it. Liposuction will show off all the hard work you've done on your body by helping you to rid yourself of troublesome fat pockets that never seem to go away on your own; sculpting your body into the goddess-form you desire. But also, liposuction produces desirable results by making you more desirable to behold. You may find yourself flirting with more admirers, noticing more covert glances or even being asked out more often. A better body can also help you in your career - partially because of your new look but more likely because of your newfound confidence in yourself.

Risk: Financial Strain

Liposuction won't be covered by your insurance. It's a purely cosmetic procedure, and can get pricey pretty quickly. Liposuction will start at around $2,000 and can go as high as $10,000 or more depending on what you get done and if you will need any follow up procedures. Assess what liposuction will cost in total, as well as any additional money you may need in the unlikely event that an emergency will arise from your surgery.

Benefit: A flatter stomach and better fitting clothing

Liposuction gets rid of that spare tire around your middle, which gives your stomach the appearance of being flatter and makes your clothes fit better - and makes you look better in the clothing. You won't fear two-piece bathing suits, skintight dresses, and other revealing items. You'll be able to shop in stores you wouldn't have considered before you had your tummy tucked, and you'll feel great now that you can.

Liposuction has its risks and benefits, but in the overall analysis it may be a great way for you to improve your looks and mental health. Even though it will cost quite a bit out of pocket, liposuction will pay you back with future happiness in the long run.

  1. This, but also other kind of surgeries have risks, but it counts a lot the doctor, the clinic and so on... if we don't want to have problems.
Personally, I've underwent this procedure at Edelstein Cosmetic clinic and everything went well... it was a little bit painful, but not that bad... I made it!
